Friday Fives

When you come home from a long day of whatever it is you do and your brain is totally fried, what therapy do you normally seek?

tv.  it cares for me.  Remember that time when you picked me up from the hospital?  No?  Because you never did.  My tv did.  It would have, you know, if it could have.

Of the myriad of desserts made primarily of fried dough, what is your favorite?

probably fried mozzarella cheese.  to quote Ben Franklin “it is proof that god loves us and wants to be happy.”  Now, was the word ‘myriad’ really necessary?  It is pretty clear Roy is trying to show off.  What an asshole.

Most fried foods are best right out of the fryer, but what’s a fried food that you enjoy cold?

donuts.  my favorite being Boston Cream.
What’s the most unusual deep-fried food you’ve ever tried?

lasagna > the wife brought home leftovers from some fancy pants restaurant.  apparently, one of the apps was fried lasagna strips.  it was, as you are imagining, strips of yummy lasagna breaded and fried.  It was yummy.

Where can you get really good French fries?

this answer isn’t super cool, but neither are you.  I love fresh McDonald’s fries.  They need to be crisp.  They should not bend.  They should be cooked all the way through.  Most restaurants want to give you a big wedge fry.  No good, they are rarely cooked all the way through.  By the way, no ketchup.  The ones from Red Robin are good, too.  You have to drown them in ranch, though.
