What is your favorite song right now? Why?
What’s uh the Deal – from Pink Floyd. Here is the link. This song is absolutely beautiful, and totally under the radar. Even your most rabid Pink Floyd fans likely don’t know the song. What’s funny is I am barely even a Pink Floyd fan.
What genre of music makes you the happiest?
Early Bob Dylan. Wait, that isn’t a genre. What are you, the semantics police all the sudden? I am sticking with my answer.
What would you name your band and what kind of music would you play?
I named my band ClownFight. I don’t like the name, but too late for that now. We play rock and roll, mister.
What is your favorite lyric of all time? Why?
I like absurd lyrics. Here are two of my favorites:
She blew my nose and then she blew my mind – Stones, ‘Honky Tonk Women’
The ladies treat me kindly, and furnish me with tape – Dylan, ‘Stuck inside of Memphis…’
What band/artist could you never live without? Why?
Early Dylan. It is just so good. Everything pre 1966. By the way, this does not mean just acoustic Dylan. ‘Blonde and Blonde’ and ‘Another Side of Bob Dylan’ both are with full bands, and are excellent. There is also 1974’s ‘Blood on the Tracks’. It is a masterpiece, but you aren’t ready for that, yet. You aren’t worthy.
Also, I love the Grateful Dead and early Metallica (specifically, the Cliff Burton years). and Pearl Jam. and Iron Maiden. In fact, Iron Maiden and Pearl Jam are the two bands that I NEVER miss when they tour.
